I loved the different saunas, steam rooms (and a women’s room only) that were available in the large spa.  

I was able to experience a traditional European steam ritual, referred to as Aufguss. Incorporating both essential oil-fragrant steam and a towel-waving technique, guests are treated to a multisensory experience in the Lakeside Finnish sauna. It will take 10 minutes and will be set to music and themed. It has become one of the most common nighttime activities, which is performed three times each day.

Once I travelled to Mauritius from the west coast of North America, I took two red-eye flights that were approximately 10 hours each. When I arrived at the resort, I was so tired at dinner that I could hardly hold my head up, and I spent half the day in a cabana by the Indian Ocean getting ready for the next day’s hike.
